Pope Francis and Kirill I, Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia of the Russian Orthodox Church, will not pray together in their upcoming meeting.

Chairman of the Department of External Church Relations of the Russian Orthodox Church,  Metropolitan Hilarion Alfeyev of Volokolamsk, informed the aforesaid, according to TASS news agency of Russia.

“They will meet at the airport,” he said. “And a conversation and signing of a declaration is planned in the meeting.”

The Metropolitan of Volokolamsk added that Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill will discuss several matters, including international terrorism, and in all likelihood, they will also reflect on the challenges of Christianity in the modern-day world.
