Glendale’s Armenian attorney pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to extort $2 million from the brother of a bakery owner who had been suspected of shooting two of the attorney's clients, Los AngelesTimes reports.

Armen Tashjian represented two victims in an incident that occurred at North Hollywood in April 2014.

Akop "Jack" Torosian, owner of the popular Papillon International Bakery in Glendale, had entered into an argument with one of the brothers, Harut Fitilchyan.  The reason was that Fitilchyan was late to a meeting. The argument ended with a shooting, as a result of which three people suffered gunshot wounds.
