YEREVAN. – Roads in Armenia are mostly drivable as of Monday 9am, informed the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations.

But the Vardenyats (Selim) Pass is closed for traffic.

Several motorways and the Dilijan bends are difficult to pass.

There is black ice on some parts of a number of other highways.

In addition, it is snowing in seven provinces of the country.

The road crews are scattering salt and sand on the motorways and also cleaning them to ensure safe travel.

The Ministry advises drivers to travel on these roads only when absolutely necessary, and with winter tires on their vehicles.

And according to the information received from the Emergency Situations Department of Georgia, the country’s Stepantsminda-Larsi Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, is closed for traffic.
