The Georgian State Electric System (GSE) has commenced carrying out a transit corridor function from Russia to Armenia and from Azerbaijan to Turkey, in two directions.
“The electrical energy transfer from Russia to Armenia, and which makes up a daily average of 30-megawatt capacity, started on February 5,” reported Gruzia Online news agency of Georgia. “About an 80-megawatt capacity electrical energy transfer from Azerbaijan to Turkey started on February 7.”
As a result of these transfers, Georgia will have about 1 million-lari (approx. US$402,753) profit every month, GSE informed.
