YEREVAN. – The purchasing of food can help men in Armenia cope with stress, psychologist Anna Badalyan said at a press conference on Monday.
In her words, shopping has a different affect on people.
“When a person sees multiplicity, different prices, he may become depressed; this could turn into a mania,” Badalyan noted. “However, there may also be cognitive emotions.”
In the expert’s view, there exists an anti-stress mechanism which each person can develop for himself.
“For a man, for example, buying food products can help, since thus he is solving a social problem,” Anna Badalyan added. “[But] the desire to buy clothes and household goods is more developed in women.”
