YEREVAN. - Azerbaijan continues to hinder the negotiation process through its destructive policy, regular violation of the ceasefire and resolutions.  

Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan said the aforementioned today during the reception of the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists (AECR) President Jan Zahradil.

The PM attached importance to the cooperation of the Alliance with the Armenia political parties.

Referring to the further development and enhancement of relations between Armenia and EU, Abrahamyan noted that Armenia is ready to advance the cooperation with the EU in issues of mutual interest.  He also attached importance to the further strengthening of ties between the Armenian National Assembly and the European Council, adding that the parliamentary cooperation is a good platform to discuss deepening and expansion of Armenia-EU relations.

For his part, Jan Zahradil noted that the AECR is interested in further developing and deepening of inter-party cooperation, thus contributing to the activation and enhancement of Armenia-EU relations.

The interlocutors also discussed a range of issues of mutual interest.

Referring to the Karabakh conflict, PM Abrahamyan said that through its destructive policy, regular violation of the ceasefire and resolutions, Azerbaijan continues to hinder the negotiation process underway in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. Abrahamyan reiterated that Armenia sees the settlement of the Karabakh conflict in the framework of the process mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, that is, through peaceful negotiations. 

Jan Zahradil said that the Karabakh conflict should be settled only peacefully, at the same time noting that he is against moving the issue to the platform of other international organizations, as well as adopting one-sided resolutions.

At the meeting, PM Abrahamyan and Mr Zahradil also touched on a number of issues related to regional developments.
