YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan on Friday met with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Jan Mládek, who is on a visit to Armenia.

Press Office of the Government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the PM noted that such visits contribute to the further strengthening of Armenian-Czech ties. Abrahamyan expressed confidence that the Armenian-Czech business forum, which kicked off Thursday in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, will be productive. In his words, Armenia underscores the continued development of relations with the Czech Republic.

Mládek, for his part, highly valued the collaboration between the two countries, and noted that around thirty Czech businessmen are participating in the said business forum. In the minister’s words, they look toward implementing investment projects with their Armenian associates.

The interlocutors also highlighted the resumption of flights between Yerevan and the Czech capital city of Prague. In this connection, Jan Mládek informed that as of May, these flights—which are in great demand—will be conducted two or three times per week.

In addition, the Armenian PM and the Czech minister discussed the avenues for the development of economic cooperation  between the two countries.
