There is a need to get involved and push the Armenian issues forward in the ongoing US presidential race.

Elizabeth Chouldjian, Communications Director of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), noted the aforesaid, according to the Voice of America Armenian Service.

Chouldjian said President Barack Obama had made huge pledges to the American Armenian community during his presidential campaign. She stated that Obama has yet another opportunity, during his presidential tenure, to fulfill his promise in terms of formally recognizing the Armenian Genocide.

The ANCA representative added that the second task for the American Armenian community is to get involved in this important general American election battle.

Bryan Ardouny, Executive Director of the Armenian Assembly of America, also reflected on this subject matter. He noted that they are making efforts so that President Obama would keep his campaign promise of recognizing the Armenian Genocide.

Ardouny likewise stressed the need to raise the topics of concern to Armenians, during the 2016 US presidential election campaign. In his view, the presidential contenders’ former actions—or the lack thereof—with respect to the matters of concern to Armenians should be looked at. As per Bryan Ardouny, the American Armenian voters need to voice their opinions, and make the Armenian issues become clear.
