YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Saturday met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, in Munich, Germany.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the interlocutors agreed to intensify the high-level discourse between the two countries.

Nalbandian noted that the agreement which the FMs of both countries had reached in the year past, and with respect to starting direct flights between the Armenian and Qatari capital cities of Yerevan and Doha, is becoming a reality.

In the ensuing talk, the interlocutors conferred on the avenues for increasing the business ties and developing the legal framework, and discussed the activities of the Armenian-Qatari intergovernmental commission.

Also, the two FMs exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, and the ways for resolving the Syrian crisis.

In addition, Edward Nalbandian invited Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani to Yerevan.
