The historical names were returned to an Armenian street and lane in Ukraine’s Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi. 

Head of the Committee on Historical and Cultural Heritage Affairs of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine, David Davtyan, told the aforementioned to AnalitikaUA.net.

He noted that this is an important event indicating to one of the interesting pages of the history of Armenians in the region. “Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi (Akkerman) used to be a significant center of the Armenian community in middle ages.”

One of the most ancient cathedrals of Eastern Europe - Church of Holy Assumption built in the 15th century - is located in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
