YEREVAN. – The new eight-story building of Yerevan Circus—of Armenia’s capital city—will be ready by October 2017, and instead of the previous 1,563 seats, it will have a 2,500-seat capacity.

Head of the Union of Circus Workers of Armenia, Sos Petrosyan, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Saturday.

“The new [Yerevan Circus] building will be one of the best in the world,” Petrosyan added. “It will enable to not only stage performances on water and ice, but also, thanks to the increase in the number of seats, we will be able to host mass sports, [and] theater events.”

In his words, once the new Yerevan Circus building construction is completed, Armenian circus actors and clowns, who currently are in world tours, will return to Armenia, and there will be no shortage of animals either, since they belong to these actors.
