Relative calm has been established in the Karabakh conflict zone, as of Tuesday at noon.

Spokesperson of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Defense Army, Senor Hasratyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“With corresponding operations, the Artsakh army has weakened the adversary’s activeness, regaining the lost [military] positions,” Artsakhpress news agency reported, for its part.

The situation at the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone dramatically escalated in the early morning hours on April 2. From regular shootings and frequent sabotage-reconnaissance attempts, Azerbaijan switched to large-scale attacks all along the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact, using a variety of weaponry as well as artillery, armored vehicles—including BM-21 “Grad (Hail)” launch vehicles, TOS-1 rocket launchers, and Smerch “whirlwind" heavy multiple rocket launchers—, and air force.

As a result of Azerbaijan’s aggression, several Armenian civilians, including a child, were killed.

The Azerbaijani soldiers, who had raided NKR Talish village, had killed three civilians.
