Stong wind ruffles all over the Georgian territory Saturday. The gusts reach 30 meters per second.

The wind has literally paralyzed life in Tbilisi, knocking down trees, ripping off roofs and damaging power lines.

According to the Emergency Management Agency of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the service has received over 250 calls. Groups of rescuers and fire brigades have been mobilized to the sites, special vehicles removing the debris in the streets and squares of the capital city.

The traffic has been blocked in Didube district, where the uprooted trees fell on several cars.
