The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport stated on Monday that Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors companies recall nearly 29,000 vehicles in South Korea because of problems with steering and lighting systems, TASS reported.

The document says that the problems have been in the electronic control unit of the steering system in Hyundai’s YF Sonatas produced between Jan. 19, 2010, and July 8, 2010, as well as in Kia's K5 mid-sized sedans manufactured between May 3, 2010, and July 8, 2010. In case of rain, a circuit may occur in the device.

In addition, Kia is recalling K7 luxury sedans produced between March 8, 2012, and Jan. 12, 2016, for lightening system errors.

Owners of the vehicles can receive free repair in the authorized service centers of Hyundai and Kia starting April 25.
