YEREVAN. – There must be struggle against inequality, discrimination, injustice and poverty, Pakistani human rights activist Syeda Ghulam Fatima, told the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent.

Syeda Ghulam Fatima, who has been shortlisted for Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity, reminded of the Islam rules: “one murder is whole humanity murdered.”

“I think we should not go in revenge, we should forgive and we should look forward how we can create peace and love among human beings. We should avoid war, we should create peace and love,” the human rights activist said.

Asked about Armenia, human rights activist said she did not know much before her nomination for the Aurora Prize. However, she “heard this history that there was genocide” that happened many years ago.

Syeda Ghulam Fatima is known for her struggle against bonded labour in Pakistani brick factories. She helped to release more than 80,000 bonded laborers in Pakistan from all provinces since her engagement, and trained more than 600 women in alternative skills for poverty reduction.[4] In September 2015, Fatima was awarded a Clinton Global Citizen Award for "leadership in civil society" in New York
