YEREVAN. - The acknowledgement of the genocide is the key means for achieving justice.

Andrew Woolford, President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) (University of Manitoba, Canada) told the aforementioned to journalists Saturday in the framework of the second Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide.

“The fact of non-recognition calls for other steps. The pain for the non-recognition of the Genocide causes more pain. I think this is the key means for achieving justice,” he said.

In Woolford’s words, their Association criticizes all those scholars who deny the happening. “Under the resolution adopted by us, the scholars denying the Armenian Genocide have no scientific ground for this. The aim of our association is to ensure and encourage the establishment of a scientific network, which will later carry out quality research regarding genocides,” the Canadian scholar said.
