Signs of agreement on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide have finally appeared in the German Bundestag (parliament).

Bundestag member—and German Turk—Cem Özdemir, who is also Co-Chairman of the German political party Alliance ‘90/The Greens and a consistent proponent of and preacher for Armenian Genocide recognition, commented about the aforementioned on his Facebook account.

“Today is the day of remembrance of the genocide of the Armenians, Arameans, Assyrians, Chaldeans, and other Christian minorities in the Ottoman Empire, 101 years ago. Finally, there are signs, in the Bundestag, on a joint decision on the recognition and the German co-responsibility. [Final] date: 2 June,” Özdemir commented and added ‪#‎Aghet, which means “disaster,” in Armenian.
