On 24 April there was held a rally at Times Square in New York dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Thousands of Armenians gathered in the central square demanding the US administration to finally acknowledge the Armenian Genocide. Several MPs of the House of Representatives, senators of the US Congress, and leaders of the Armenian organizations in the US made a speech on claiming to acknowledge the Genocide.
The participants of the mass action also sharply denounced the latest aggression committed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno Karabakh , stressing that the United States government should stop providing any assistance to the aggressor state. As the senators Chuck Schumer and Robert Menendez acknowledged, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev promoted April aggressions against the background of his visit to the US, which raises a deep concern.
