OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier stated that the world community does not need a new security architecture now, it is necessary that the available mechanisms started working.

According to him, the rapid development of the situation in the world requires more effective ways of collaboration from the international research organizations.

OSCE established close cooperation with the UN and regional partner organizations, Secretary General said on his blog within online discussion on safety at the annual platform of the Friends of Europe. He mentioned that they do not need a new security architecture and added that it is really necessary for them to return to basics and is better to use tools which they have.

According to him, the regional organizations such as the OSCE can provide early warning and implementation of inclusive and unique approaches to conflict prevention with the participation of all regional members, including victims of crises and conflicts.

OSCE Secretary General believes that such organizations can act as a vanguard for the UN  on strengthening of regional consensus on safety issues, and not only before date of transmission of these subjects on the global level, but also taking a leading  role in the solution of safety problems in own space, RIA Novosti reported.
