The anti-Russian position of the Turks doesn’t allow to hope for the normalization of bilateral relations in the immediate future, reads the Survey on the Foreign Policy Activity of Russia in 2015, prepared by the Russian MFA.

According to the agency, the hostile protest held by Ankara against Russia led to the actual freezing of bilateral ties.

“The contacts in political and military areas have been wound up.  The anti-Russian position of the Turkish authorities doesn’t allow to normalize the bilateral ties in immediate future,” the document says.

The relations between Russia and Turkey began to worsen after the Turkish F-16 Fighting Falcon downed the Russian Su-24 fighter jet near the Syrian border.
