STEPANAKERT. – The intensive shelling, which the adversary carried out along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh and Azerbaijani opposing forces all through Tuesday, continued at night. 

The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army (NKR/Artsakh) informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the Azerbaijani armed forces fired more than 550 missiles toward the NKR military positions and peaceful settlements, and with virtually all the artillery weaponry at its disposal, including from mortars, cannons, and Grad missile launchers.

More intensive shelling was recorded in a northeasterly direction of the Line of Contact. Martakert town, Nerkin Horatagh village, and several other civilian areas were shelled.

But as a result of these aggressive actions by the adversary, NKR Defense Army serviceman Hayk Minasyan (born in 1996) was mortally wounded.

Vanguard units of the Artsakh defense army, however, took retaliatory actions to neutralize the aggressive actions by Azerbaijan. It dealt targeted blows to the adversary, causing it to suffer considerable casualties and military equipment loss.

“At this time, the situation is relatively calm all along the line of contact of the opposing forces,” the respective NKR Ministry of Defense statement reads.
