YEREVAN. – We plan to run in next year’s parliamentary elections, and we plan to form a government, MP and former Foreign Minister of Armenia Vartan Oskanian on Wednesday told reporters in the National Assembly.

He expressed confidence that, with his newly set-up Consolidation Party, they will present themselves to the Armenian body politic with a party platform whereby the people will see that the problems will really be solved, and that there will be consolidation around them.

“I believe there will be crucial elections, where the future of our country will be decided for the next decades, to some extent,” Oskanian noted. “We call on the people’s consolidation around the political forces, so we will be able to implement fundamental change in the country.”

He added that the Consolidation Party Chairman will be decided during the inaugural congress of this new political force in Armenia.
