A meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan is not yet planned, but contacts between the parties will continue along the military domain.

Alexander Lukashevich, Russia’s permanent representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), on Wednesday stated the aforementioned.

“Given that tensions flared at the [Nagorno-Karabakh] conflict zone, and which has pushed the possibility of direct dialogue between the [conflicting] parties quite back, I have not heard anything about such a meeting,” Lukashevich said, according to RIA Novosti news agency of Russia. “With the mediation of the Russian Federation, these clashes were managed to be stopped, and the reached military agreements have enabled to launch the next steps of political nature. The word is about continuing the contacts along the military domain, to strengthen the ceasefire regime.”
