YEREVAN. – More than three hundred IT and engineering specialists have formed a public council to provide technological support to the Armenian army.

Karen Vardanyan, Executive director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) of Armenia, said the abovementioned at a press conference on Friday.

“We conditionally call this council the institute for military technology research, which will research both what we specifically need and to what objective,” Vardanyan stated. “But we can’t do this alone, without a directive. For that reason, we will meet with the Minister [of Defense of Armenia].”

Over fifty companies have joined this initiative.
