In a refugee camp in Idomeni, Greece, the refugees celebrated the first wedding, reports Gazeta with a reference to the Daily Mail. The ceremony was held in one of the tents. A couple from Syria took the oath of love and fidelity. The staff of the camp helped to organize wedding ceremony. In particular, they gave the newlyweds a cake .

As the husband said, he hoped to get married and start a new life in Germany. He in fact could not think that his wedding will be held in Greece.

The pair was "stuck" in the camp for six weeks and decided not to wait any longer, writes Gazeta. According to one of the volunteers, that wedding showed that love knows no boundaries.

"Nothing could keep this wonderful feast of life from happening," she said,” love triumphs over the evil and the Islamic State terrorist group in the end.”
