Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) National Assembly member Hayk Khanumyan, who is also Chairman of the National Revival Party, spoke to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

With respect to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s statement regarding mutual concessions, Khanumyan said, for Artsakh, there can be no talk about surrendering the liberated territories.

“Azerbaijan’s armed attack in April aimed also to remove Artsakh’s signature [that is] under the [19]94-[19]95 ceasefire agreement and to reach a new agreement, which, fortunately, did not happen, [and] which, we can say, is a success,” the NKR MP noted. “I believe we have heard about various agreements in recent years. But when [Azerbaijan President Ilham] Aliyev’s plane reaches [capital city] Baku, the agreements become undone. I am almost certain that Azerbaijan will not agree to the installation of respective devices on the border. Moreover, I believe the installation of the devices will change nothing.”
