President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that Ukraine and Georgia will return to the CIS sooner or later, it is necessary to call these countries.
The Belarusian leader emphasized that he is sure that Ukraine will come to us one of these days. Georgia and Ukraine have a lot of interests here. It is necessary to make them return, he said at a meeting with the heads of the delegations of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS countries in Minsk.
According to the head of the state, at the same time it is necessary not to compel them but to call them back. We should not lose these republics, RIA Novosti reported.
He also stressed the importance of development of the CIS as a unique platform for integration and negotiation. According to him, it is necessary to make the CIS stronger and attractive to the Member States, to be consistent with modern realities.
