Bangladesh authorities are going to evacuate about two million people from coastal areas due to the approaching cyclone, which, according to the preliminary information, will hit the country Saturday evening.

The tropical Roanu cyclone earlier caused flood in several regions of Sri Lanka, claiming the lives of about 150 people, including due to landslides.

According to the Indian meteorologists, the cyclone will pass by the western coast of the country Saturday evening, from where the authorities have evacuated part of Andhra Pradesh state population. The cyclone will then intensify and hit the southern districts of Bangladesh in less than 24 hours, RIA Novosti reports.
