The poem “Armenians” by Bulgarian poet Peyo Yavorov will not be excluded from the curriculum of Bulgarian schools, Bulgarian Vice PM and Education Minister Meglena Kuneva said, responding to the question of conservative “Attack” party Stanislav Stanilov (who supports the Armenian community), Bulgarian newspaper “Trud” reports.

The Bulgarian “Focus” information agency earlier reported that the poem might be excluded from the new curriculum.

“I want to draw your attention to the fact that all these are working drafts, and none of them is final,” the Minister stated.

The public discussion of the curricula of 4th and 10th forms will begin in January 2018. There will be enough time and opportunities by then to listen to different views, she added.

The poem is about the shatters of the Armenian nation, which have scattered all over the world.
