At Sunday’s special congress of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), major changes have taken place in the party leadership.

Persons to the delight of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, including Armenian MP Markar Eseyan—who has demonstrated his loyalty to Erdoğan with his activities—, has become a member in the Central Decision and Executive Council (MKYK), which is considered the leadership of the AKP, according to Cumhuriyet daily newspaper of Turkey.
