India for the first time has successfully tested a multiple missile of its own production, reports the NDTV channel. The missile has been launched in Andhra Pradesh from Shrikharikota space station in the morning at 7:00 am on May 23. The missile has been named RLV-TD; 20 minutes after its flight, the test was evaluated as successful.

The development of the missile was implemented in five years and cost nearly $ 1.4 million. It is 6.5 meters in length and 1.75 tons in weight.  The launched missile can not be re- used; it will fall apart in Bay of Bengal after landing on a special platform, as long as it has not a chassis to make a soft landing  One of the future plans is to create a specially equipped runway in Shrikharikota. The experienced sample will be used for verification of technologies and further analysis of the data. The final version of the Shuttle will be completed in 10-15 years.
