The EU requires Turkey to fulfill all 72 requirements without exception to obtain visa liberalization for Turks’ short-term visits to Europe, announced the European Commission President Jean -Claude Juncker, reports RIA  Novosti.

On Monday at a conference with speakers of the EU member states’ parliaments Juncker said that the EU is firm in its position. The adviser of the Turkish president,  Yigit Bulut, said earlier that Ankara may suspend all agreements with the EU, if the EU continues the policy of " double standards ".

At the beginning of May the European Commission suggested the European Parliament and the Council of Europe to remove visa restrictions for Turkish citizens in case Turkey fulfills all the preconditions for visa cancellation. These include corruption prevention measures , negotiations about operational cooperation with Europol , judicial cooperation with the EU member countries , the revision of legislation on the fight against terrorism.
