YEREVAN. – The Armenia meeting of the prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)  member countries showed that relations seem to be entering a crucial phase, Armenian economist and former MP Vardan Bostanjyan said at a press conference on Monday.

In his words, Armenia has shown that is has potential opportunities.

“And we all would like for these opportunities to have been be displayed at the very first phase of [Armenia’s] EAEU membership,” stressed Bostanjyan. “Our [i.e. the country’s] opportunities are quite big within the framework of the EAEU; this is due also to the demands of the other participating countries of the Eurasian Union.”

On May 20, Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan hosted the EAEU Intergovernmental Council session of the PMs of the Eurasian Economic Union member countries (Armenia Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan).
