YEREVAN. - The execution of Armenian budget expenditures constituted about 100 percent in 2015, reads the Report on 2015 Armenian State Budget Performance, the discussion on which was launched in the Armenian parliament Monday.

According to the initial plan, the expenditure budget was to be 1 tln 305.6 bln AMD in 2015. However, this number increased by 109.6 bln AMD (8.4 percent), reaching 1 trn 415.2 bln (approx $2.95 bln). Therefore, the execution of budget expenditures constituted 99.6 percent or 1 trn 409 bln.

Besides, the expenditures at the cost of extra-budgetary funds of state institutions constituted 37.2 bln AMD, or 97.4 percent of the plan.

In the conditions of the 4.2 percent growth of nominal GDP in 2015, the expenditures increased much more – by 14.1 percent. Thus, the correlation of the expenditures against the GDP grew by 25.5 percent or 27.9 percent of GDP.

Consequently, the budget deficit against the GDP grew by 4.8 percent, while in 2014 it constituted 1.9 percent.

The expansionary fiscal policy of the Government aimed to support the economy in the conditions of unfavorable situation in Russia and low stock prices on metals. The economic growth constituted 3.0 percent in 2015 (instead of the expected 4.1 percent).
