YEREVAN. – The operational situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border was calm, from late Tuesday night to early Wednesday morning.
The Republic of Armenia Ministry of Defense (RA MOD) informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that during this time, however, the Azerbaijani armed forces fired sporadic shots toward the northeastern sector—i.e. Tavush Province of Armenia—of the border, and by using rifle weaponry.
“[But] the RA armed forces control the border situation and confidently carry out the tasks that are set,” the respective statement reads.
