YEREVAN. - In 2016, the Armenian Government will complete the restoration of Armenia’s Arpa-Sevan tunnel, Chairman of State Committee of Water Economy Aram Harutyunyan said during the discussion of the report on the republic’s state budget performance in 2015. 

The program will allow to double the water transfer into the lake from the current 130-140 mln cu m to 260-270 mln per year.

The work is conducted with the support of Abu-Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), which has provided a $10 mln loan on concessional terms of 3.4 percent per annnum. The deadline for the loan is 15 years, the grace period being 5 years.
