YEREVAN. - Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian on Wednesday received Chairman of the France-Armenian friendship circle René Rouquet and Deputy Chairman François Rochebloine.

The interlocutors highly appreciated the close cooperation between the deputies of both countries, Armenian MFA press-service reports.

The FM underscored the importance of the French deputies’ visit to Armenia for the purpose of getting familiarized with the consequences of the aggression launched by the Azerbaijani side and efforts of the Karabakh authorities towards overcoming them.

Nalbandian briefed teh guests on the steps aimed at fulfilling the agreements reached at the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents in Vienna.

He also underscored the role of France as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair, stressing the country’s and other mediators important contribution to Vienna agreements.

The French deputies assured that they will continue to contribute to the exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
