YEREVAN. – A new uproar, which could unfold between former fellow party members, is brewing in the political arena of Armenia, according to Zhoghovurd newspaper.

“Recently, the supporters of PAP NA [i.e. opposition Prosperous Armenia Party National Assembly] Faction member [and former FM] Vartan Oskanian are attempting to actively ‘drag’ those who have left the PAP toward them, by including them in the ranks of their Consolidation Party being newly created.

“Aside from the former PAP members, the figures, who were in office during [second President] Robert Kocharyan's tenure but subsequently were deprived of their position, also have appeared at the focus of Oskanian’s teammates.

“[But] all this has made the PAP leadership very angry, and [PAP] Chairwoman Naira Zohrabyan made it understood, even with innuendo, not to continue the process,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
