YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia received information, on Thursday at 12:43am, that a man was on fire in a street in capital city Yerevan.

Before the fire and rescue workers’ arrival at the scene, however, the fire was put out by local efforts, and the victim, who had sustained multiple-degree burns, was hospitalized.

Those at the Center of Radiation Medicine and Burns of Armenia, where this man is being treated, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that 95 percent of his skin had burned. 

In addition, 20 percent of his respiratory tract is burned, and he is in very critical condition.
