The new illustrated book about adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh devoted to the 90th anniversaries of the most fantastic hero and the British queen Elizabeth II has been released in the UK.

The work is called “Winnie the Pooh and the Royal Birthday”. The author of the text is Jane Riordan, and illustrator - Mark Burgess, The Telegraph reported.

The story take place in Buckingham Palace where Winnie-the-Pooh together with Christopher Robin, and also Piglet and Eeyore travel to deliver a special present to the 90-year-old monarch.

The Queen appears on one of the illustrations dressed in a red coat and a hat with familiar black gloves and handbag. She is depicted listening to the honey-loving bear. Bear spots her going for a stroll outside the Palace and decides to please her with a birthday "hum" or poem.

Among the heroes of the book there was also the grandson of Queen, Prince George, who will be three years old in July. However, his name is not mentioned in the book, but we can easily guess that George is represented in the illustration.

English writer Alan Alexander Milne published the first book about Winnie-the-Pooh in October, 1926, half a year later after Princess Elizabeth was born on April 21. Milne wrote the whole series of poems "Teddy Bear and Other Songs from Our Early Childhood" to honor the princess.
