YEREVAN. - The re-orientation of goods imported from the Eurasian Union has reduced the Armenian government revenues, Deputy Chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC), Armen Alaverdyan, said in the parliament, introducing the state budget performance report for 2015.

According to him, this reorientation is especially noticeable in regard to certain goods, including sunflower-seed oil, tires, etc. Consequently, the SRC didn’t collect enough customs duties and also partly VAT: if the 20 percent VAT was accrued after the 10 percent duty before, making up 22 percent of the commodity value, without customs duty it equals to 20 percent now. “That is, our collection base has dropped,”Alaverdyan added.
