The Japanese opposition parties on May 31 in the lower house of the parliament came out with a suggestion to  deliver vote of no confidence to the government chaired by the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, reports RIA Novosti.

The draft resolution was presented by Japan's four political parties, Democratic, Social Democratic , Communist, and People's lives first parties. According to Kyodo, voting can take place the same evening.

The majority of the seats in both houses of the Japanese parliament belongs to the Liberal Democratic Party and New Komayto parties, and therefore there is a little chance that the draft resolution will be approved. It is the proposal of the government to postpone the increase of the consumption tax scheduled for 2017 by two years - from current 8 percent to 10 percent – that have become the catalyst of the opposition's actions.

The opposition is also unhappy with the law on collective defense that interprets the Japanese constitution in a new way and, thereby, allows to send Japanese troops abroad, use weapons against their allies, and for their citizens’ protection abroad.
