Official Baku is waiting for the meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents in June for achieving significant progress in Karabakh conflict status-quo.

The Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov said the aforementioned, speaking at the Azerbaijani-NATO meeting Tuesday, TASS reports.

“On May 16, a meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents took place with the participation of the foreign ministers of the [OSCE] Minsk Group co-chairing countries. We are waiting for holding another meeting in June to achieve significant progress in changing the status-quo,” Mammadyarov said.  

On May 16, the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents met in Vienna through the mediation of the foreign ministers of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries (Russia, U.S. and France) to discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It was consequently decided to observe the ceasefire in the region in the format of the agreements of 1994-1995. Apart from this, the sides to the conflict agreed to complete as soon as possible the work on introducing the OSCE incident investigation mechanisms on the Line of Contact.
