YEREVAN. - The Armenian parliament discussed the bill on cancelling the digital broadcasting transition till July 2018.
Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication, Gagik Tadevosyan, stated that the cancellation is due to the fact that unlike television, radio continues to broadcast in analogue regime worldwide. This, according to him, still satisfies the demands of the number of radio stations, their diversity and content. Apart from this, no single standard of digital broadcasting has yet been internationally adopted.
