Former Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi, who was hospitalized due to heart problems, stated that he is calm and relies on God, Gazeta reported quoting Repubblica newspaper.

Berlusconi said that he is calm and will take this difficult time trusting on God and high professionalism of the doctors.

It is noted that in the middle of next week he will undergo a heart surgery, during which a damaged aortic valve will be replaced.

The 79-year-old politician, who served four times as a prime minister of Italy, was hospitalized because of heart problems on June 7.
