In five to ten years, Armenia and Georgia could become agricultural products’ important producers not only in the Caucasus, but throughout the world.

Gocha Tsopurashvili, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Georgia, told the above-said to reporters within the framework of an international conference on food security, and which the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi is hosting.

In his words, agriculture is developing in both Georgia and Armenia, and the respective challenges of these two countries are similar, overall.

The Georgian official noted that in order to effectively develop agriculture, it is indispensable to correctly use the natural potentials of the two countries and to place the emphasis on their “brand products,” which they can offer to the region and rest of the world.

As per Kereselidze, cheese, brandy, wine, vegetables, and fruits can be these products for Georgia and Armenia.
