NICE. – Armenian News-NEWS.am continues its on-location coverage of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Euro 2016, which France is hosting for one month.

In the first week of this tournament, we presented to you the football developments from capital city Paris.

But starting from Friday, we will be reporting from Nice, where Spain and Turkey will lock horns on the same day. 

Even though everything was very quiet and peaceful in the first week in Paris, the football fans’ passions were heated in several other cities in France. And Nice, the favorite spot of wealthy tourists, also stood out in this regard.

At present, Nice is filled with Spanish and Turkish fans.

Although the Nice fan zone cannot be compared with the Paris fan zone in size, it is located in the main square of the city. But it was closed on Thursday, and therefore the only way to watch football was the cafés, which are a lot in Nice. 

For many, the recent novelty in the Euro competition system is associated with progress. But in my view, football only suffers from it and becomes less interesting to watch. The most important thing for a football fan, however, is to watch beautiful football.

So, on behalf of all the football fans that waited a long time for Euro 2016, I say: We want real football!
