YEREVAN. - The discussions on the funding of the interim expenditures to be made from the Armenian state budget for 2017-2019 kicked off in the Armenian Government Tuesday.

The meeting, presided by the Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan, specifically addressed the programs and priorities of particular areas.

The PM told the heads of the republic’s executive bodies that the government should reconsider the middle-term expenditures, instructing to reduce the expenditures which have no significant impact on the overall result and the regular activity of the agencies.

Stressing that it is necessary to shift to a strict regime of economizing and reduce the expenditures of the state governance system, the head of the government urged the heads of the state agencies to take additional measures to raise the activity effectiveness of the institutions headed by them.
