YEREVAN. – Within the framework of the criminal case which the Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened, criminal charges were brought Wednesday against opposition activist and Karabakh War veteran Jirair Sefilian.
The Committee informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that sufficient evidence was obtained to the fact that Sefilian had organized the illegal acquirement, transfer, and possession—in various locations—of weapons and ammunition by a group of persons.
The investigative body has decided to submit a petition to the court that arrest be enforced as his restraining order.
The Investigative Committee also informed that nine persons, including Jirair Sefilian, have been included within the framework of this criminal case, and as accused.
