Solar Impulse 2 plane that functions with a solar battery made a transatlantic flight from New York to the Spanish city of Seville, informed the authors of the project.

A 6277-km flight lasted 70 hours. Solar Impulse 2 plane registered a record for staying in the air. The captain of the aircraft was Bertrand Piccard, reports Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The main risk if the flight, according to the organizers, was changing weather in the North Atlantic. Therefore, as a flight destination a few places have been mentioned –   Toulouse, Paris, Seville and Rabat.
